Madde, Great Pappa would be so proud! Eating rice cereal for the first time was a rite of passage to him. Like a Bhat Mitzpah, getting your drivers license,turning 21 or watching the 49ers actually win a game. You have left home a baby, gone to the big woods, eaten rice ceral, and returned...a baby that has eaten rice cereal, but hey, it doesn't hurt, except in the diaper dept.

Poppe makes me laugh! I hope your folks find the humor in his celebratory greeting. Yes, rice ceral was the most important rite of passage for Papa! As for me, I'm not sure what rite of passage is the most significant . . . so far it seems to be simply your birth. Welcome precious child.
